F.E.S.S.

Park Security

It was a mild Saturday sunny Spring afternoon as I strolled through the fabulous Hill Top Park. Many people were walking in the park to give their minds a break. From all the weird useless news their brains had heated up like old processors due. Everything was perfect and I could not be happier to go on my daily walk.

The park must be my favorite spot of all places other than my cozy lab. The trees, the birds, you must admire the park, it is way better than the Dark Web and smelled fresh.  As I walked through the park admiring the scenery which could easily replace my wallpaper, I noticed something in the distance. IT WAS A TROJAN!! This was serious, it could do “trumpondous” harm, especially with so many people nearby and wanting some new gossip to fill their free space. Some of these folks looked as if they did not have much space to go to full capacity. I smiled at that thought. I had to do something. I scanned for nearby firewalls, but there were none. I scanned for public anti-viruses, again I had no luck. Was my age catching up to me I thought, what am I missing? The only option was to go old school ( can we say DOS ), search code, and delete it.

The Trojan, who was wearing a pink jumper, turned around and started walking, revealing long black hair. Wait! Trojan’s have red hair, right? I had no time to decide, I was sure it had a pixelated face, who knows if this Trojan was wearing a wig. I jumped pinning it face-first on the ground. I was so happy I saved the day again. As I would soon find that I was wrong. GEE!!  Well, the Trojan... she" turned around. The Trojan I had caught was a girl who was strolling in the park. Suddenly I felt a crowd staring at me. I felt so embarrassed that I was stammering while trying to explain my mistake to the girl as if all the bugs I had cleared from my code had suddenly come back. I finally managed to convince her not to call the Cyber police. Whew! I had to get out there.

As I left the park, I felt a little better, even though I knew that some of the people would have saved my face as a threat. As well as streamed me into the HTT (Hill Top Television). Now the question running in my head was, why was her face pixelated? Something was wrong, either my hardware or it was a new style trojan. Embarrassing even for me, SMH.   Well at least till the crowd disappeared. I decided to visit Dr. Betts.

As I entered his lab, Dr. Betts gave me a warm smile. She checked my eyes and confirmed that something was wrong. I suddenly pictured myself wearing external cameras and going around like those old people with their outdated glasses, I was scared. Luckily for me, the doc told me that it was nothing serious, and just that my lens needed cleaning. I was relieved. That is when I understood how important eye health was. Healthy eyes are as important as a healthy body. Lack of eye care will only cause problems that will only worsen with time. Take care of your eyes, exercise, eat healthy food, and most importantly in this "screen" infested world, give your eyes a good check yearly.

Luckily for me, Dr. Betts cleaned my lens, which means I can go back to saving the world from the Dark Web and not get embarrassed in public again. Till then stay secure and safe and always educate!
